Back in February of this year, JSOcom was contacted by Roger F., the father of a young co-star of Jim Sturgess in his upcoming film Ashes.  His son, named Louis, is a 6-year-old child actor who plays “young Frank” (Ray Winstone’s character as a child).  Again today, Roger contacted us and alerted us to an upcoming ‘Cast & Crew Screening’ on June 9th in London.  He also sent us the above image.  It is unknown if Jim will be in attendance since he’s currently on location filming The Best Offer. Hopefully, we’ll be hearing more about a release date for this much anticipated film very soon.

Announced today by both Screen Daily and The Hollywood Reporter, the latest project Jim Sturgess has signed on for is The Big Shoe. Directed by Steven Shainberg (Secretary, Fur), the film will co-star Susan Sarandon (also Jim’s co-star in Cloud Atlas), and this time around the two will apparently be playing mother and son.

Today we received a thank you note from Jim Sturgess, accompanied by a picture taken especially for our website.  Jim has recently been in Vienna, Austria, and Trieste, Italy filming scenes for his latest project, The Best Offer, but took time out to take this special picture in Venice, Italy, where he’s been relaxing, “eating pasta,” and celebrating his birthday.  As always, we at JSO are humbled by Jim’s thoughtfulness and kindness towards all his fans!!!  Dear JSO Crew. Just wanted to say a Huge Big Massive Thank you for all my Birthday messages this year. It always continues to blow my mind how much support I get from you all…and how many of you there are from all over the globe. It’s a very special feeling to know that people are out there paying attention and supporting you all the way. It really keeps you going.
